Large Oval baker
Oval bakers are useful as serving or baking dishes. Attractive to hold crackers, they shine when used in the oven for simple breads or layered recipes like lasagnas. The red stoneware and glaze in use are safe for the dishwasher and in the oven. Be mindful however, that they will retain heat so always use a hot pad for wood surfaces and do not put onto cold stone or granite counter tops.
A note from Paul: When I make these, they are some of the most individualistic items I do. Each one will be slightly different as I start from the same amount of clay, but when cutting it from the wheel and shaping it to the oval I do not use a template. Each one will be unique.
